Another commission work for one of Pierrot’s clients, this was for a fountain in a client’s garden. The 3 heads became the waterspouts. The holes for the plumbing were drilled afterwards, so their gaping mouths had to give wide margins for that to work without the stone breaking: large openings and thick lips. I chose to depict the earth (flora medallion in the hair), the stars (star medallion), and the moon (crescent moon medallion).
I did a lot of other commercial commission work during this time, these projects of the doves and the fountain piece were the most enjoyable, along with Neptune. Most of it was for clients of Pierrot, for whom he was providing stone for structures, but some was more direct.
