I was not satisfied with this pair of lions, the stone was rough textured and very hard, and did not lend itself to subtle modeling, but some considered them finished. The second slide shows the landscaping around them which added to the drama of their presence, drama lacking in the carving. Commission work that satisfied the client but not myself.
