Could a woman be self-conscious without shame or defense or defensiveness involved? Couldn’t there be joy of self-consciousness? Is it a choice one has to make; is it more a voluntary reaction than involuntary? I simplified and stripped the shapes to geometric forms, becoming symbols of immutably proud female volumes.
