In the fall of 1984 I did some drawing and clay modeling in bas relief, directly from the model. Some were cast into plaster, and painted, such as these two pieces of the torso – studies done with the Suzanne story in mind. The single torso lived for some years on a “swing” outside against the wall of the smaller storage-garage space at L’Ubac.
