This torso, from the knees to the “imagined” shoulders of arms raised, shows Suzanne in a standing position. Perhaps her hands were in her hair, washing it, but now she is lifting her torso and turning it at the same time to look around at the disturbance. It is perhaps the least narrative, but possibly the most violent of the group. The wrenching turn of the torso suggests speed of the physical reaction and the irretrievable nature of the loss of innocence with the onset of self-consciousness.
