During the week of fall break, November 1978, I went to Italy for the first time. Having studied the history of the art of Florence -especially early Renaissance, seeing it there in place was like coming home. Drawing Michelangelo’s sculptures, his interpretations of the human drama, was enormously inspirational – particularly in the sense of awe-inspiring!
